1. Bhangarh Fort:
Located at the border of Sariska reserve, the Alwar district in Alwari range hills, near Gola Ka Baas village in Rajasthan, Bhangarh Fort is said to be a 16th-century fort.
Raja Bhagwat Singh built the Bhangarh Fort for his son Madho Singh. The fort is believed to be cursed.
While some people say that it was cursed by a hermit named “Guru Balu Nath”, who agreed for the fort to be built on his spot with one condition that no shadow of the fort should touch him, but after the fort was built, it casted the shadow on hermit and that caused the curse on the village.
Some people believe that the black magician fell in love with the princess of Bhangarh named “Ratnavati” and decided to do magic on the oil she was supposed to use, but the princess got to know about this and threw the oil on the huge rock, and that crushed the magician to death. But before dying, he cursed the entire village.
Even though the fort is one of the remains of history, people are advised not to visit it after sunset as it is believed that the spirits roam in the fort at night, and anyone who goes there after sunset won’t return. People who visit the fort often experience paranormal activities and hear noises and whispers.
2. Nahargarh Fort:
Located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in the Aravalli hills, this fort is almost 300 years old and was built by the maharaja of Jaipur, “Sawai Jai Singh II”.
It is believed that during the construction of the fort, the spirit of Prince “Nahar Singh Bhomia” was disturbed, and that spirit started haunting the place.
The horror incident related to Nahargarh Fort is that, as it was in need of renovation and maintenance, the owner of one such renovation and restoration organization was mysteriously found dead in his home.
3. Golconda Fort:
Located in the western part of the beautiful city of Hyderabad, approximately 9 km from Hussain Sagar Lake, Golconda Fort is a famous fort full of history.
It used to be a mud fort. The first three Qutb Shahi Sultans expanded this mud fort into the structure of 4 distinct forts and 8 gateways, along with royal halls, mosques, temples, etc. Other than its mesmerizing architecture, Golconda Fort is famous for diamond mines and produced some famous diamonds, like Koh-i-Noor, Daria-e-Noor, etc.
It is believed that the Golconda fort is haunted by the spirit of a dancer and singer and one of the most famous courtesans of the Qutb Shah dynasty.

Located in Pune, Maharashtra, the Shaniwar fort, designed with carved doorways and pillars with marble floors, was built by Bajirao-I in 1732.
After one of the previous kings “Narayanrao” was brutally murdered by his uncle and aunt, the Shaniwar fort is believed to be haunted by his ghost.
There is a belief that the ghost of the dead King haunts Shaniwar Wada fort after an unexplained fire destroyed the majority of the fort, and many people claim they have heard the murdered King’s screams, especially on full moon nights.
5. Feroz Shah Kotla:
Located in Delhi as one of the oldest structures, Feroz Shah Kotla Fort was built by “Sultan Feroz Shah” in 1354.
This fort consists of gardens, madrassas and mosques.
Along with its architecture, Feroz Shah Kotla Fort is also famous as a place full of djinns, spirits and ghosts. It is believed by the locals that the djinns can solve their problems, and many locals visit the fort and offer the djinns various products so that their wishes can come true.
